aBOUT THE MARKET

The Barry Farmers Market was created by two traders within the Goodsheds development, after seeing a gap in the market for food based events within the local area. The market showcases local food and drink producers from Barry, the Vale and across South Wales at key dates throughout the year.

Goodsheds

To compliment our market traders, you can enjoy a range of street food at the centre of the Goodsheds, alongside a unique mix of independent traders.

FAq's

Our Barry Farmers Market is located at the Goodsheds in Barry. We've put together some FAQ's to answer many of the questions we get asked about the site, parking, what's on offer and more.

Is the Market dog friendly?

The Barry Farmers Market and the Goodsheds site is completely dog friendly, so bring you doggy companion along with you. Many of the independent businesses in the Goodsheds also welcome dogs, just look out for the Paws in the Vale stickers in their windows.

Where can I park?

There is limited 2 hour free parking under Junction House, alongside the Goodsheds development. You'll also find limited on street parking in area, with a larger car park with no timelimit at the rear of the Pumphouse, a two minute walk from the Goodsheds.

How can I get to the market on public transport?

Barry Train Station is less than 5 minutes walk from Goodsheds, via Broad Street, with trains running hourly from Cardiff, Bridgend and the Vale on Market dates.

The Barry circular bus stops outside the Goodsheds, whilst most other buses stop on Broad Street or near Barry Waterfront, both of which are around 5 minute walk

There isn't any street food on your list of traders?

Our Market focuses on food and drink which you can take away to enjoy at home, more than on the site. We do this, as the Goodsheds is home to a number of street food vendors, whom are based on site full-time. You can find out at https://www.goodshedsbarry.co.uk/container-village/

Is there an entrance fee?

No, its completely free to come along! We're keen to welcome everyone to our market at no cost.

How can I sign up for a stall?

We're keen to hear from new traders looking to join us at upcoming Markets. If you're interested in attending, please contact us via barryfarmersmarket@gmail.com
